La Siesta Mexican Cuisine

The La Siesta Mexican Cuisine logo for Paco Guillen was a welcome challenge. The inspiration for the logo came from a painting on velvet of a Mexican cowboy napping under a cactus. Obviously, the painting wouldn’t work as an icon, so I began sketches to represent the story in a one or two color graphic. It has always been my belief that any logo of true quality communicates just as well with limited colors and that was achieved with La Siesta. We also added some grit and texture to the logo to represent the authentic street flavors represented in Paco’s menu.
